Younger fan here (born 95 I guess not super young anymore). My biggest regret is never seeing this guy live - I had the opportunity in 2012 but then the hurricane hit and the date was never rescheduled as I recall. His voice and Jim’s music just connect at a gut level like no other for me.

This tour was my first time seeing Meat Loaf live, though I saw him in Sheffield. Although I later saw Meat in Glasgow a few times. He was always incredible live - even if he wasn't well, he always gave 100%.

I have always loved this song - one of my favourites on Bat III 💞 Thanks for helping us see this gem.

Absolutely without a doubt, hands-down one of Jim Steinman’s very best compositions. I know that Jim himself did this song initially on his 1981 solo album, Bad For Good, but Meat Loaf brings it to another level. I also do agree that Steinman should have been recognized more for his contributions and I could be mistaken, but this song may have laid the groundwork for what eventually would be “Objects In The Rearview Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are “!

"I know the territory, I've been around. It'll all turn to dust and we'll all fall down." breaks my heart every...single... time. It reminds me of Annie Lennox's Walking on Broken Glass where the lyrics are devastating but the melodies and delivery are so beautiful and infectious.

The long Jimmy Iovine story Jim told here is still SO funny, however sadly it's a tough hang now because of recent allegations against Iovine. Steinman generally was really adept at impersonating people he worked with in a funny way.
